Terms of use
The short version: reports are accounts by the people who filed them, not findings by Dealer Review Watch, and you are responsible for what you file.
What this site publishes
Reports on Dealer Review Watch are statements by members of the public about their own experience. They are not verified assertions of fact by us, and they should not be read as a finding that any business has committed a crime. Loss totals are sums of amounts stated by the people who filed. See the methodology page for what each figure is derived from.
If you file a report
By submitting, you confirm that:
- the account is true to the best of your knowledge and describes your own experience;
- you are not filing on behalf of a competitor of the business named;
- you have not included a third party's personal information, or content you do not have the right to publish;
- you grant us a licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and syndicate the report across the sites in our network.
You can withdraw a report at any time by emailing reviews@dealerreviewwatch.com.
What we remove
Reports that are not first-hand, reports filed by competitors, duplicates, anything containing personal information, and anything we come to believe is false. We also remove reports on request from the person who filed them.
If you are a business named here
You have a right of reply on your own listing, and a route to correct anything factually wrong — both on the dispute page. We correct errors promptly and publish what changed. We do not remove accurate reports on request, and we do not accept payment to alter a listing.
No warranty
The database is provided as it stands. The absence of a report about a seller is not evidence that the seller is legitimate — most fraudulent sellers are unreported until the first person files. Do your own checks before you pay anyone.
